Absolutely love ! What a wonderful portrayal of queer love and past traumas. This love story makes me feel so seen as a trans guy, and really makes me feel hopeful in finding love myself. Absolutely love their personalities as I can heavily relate to them also. What a great read ! Exactly what I was looking for

I can’t help but feel uncomfortable and sad reading Ely’s relapse. All the self deprecation and sense of loneliness really does get to you when you feel her feelings. Because a part of me resonates with her maybe in that sense - a constant guilt possibly that you’re always fucking up. That you’re just a total fuck up.

Chapter 6: Wyatt’s perspective is interesting but really fun because I relate to him so much. He’s uncertain, not the typical macho male lead you read about in cis-het books. He tries to be professional, to be a certain way only to have himself crumble apart when it comes to Ely. He knows what the right thing to do it, thinking over his mistakes, but his desires seem to always find a way through

I really like how surprised I was by Ely’s switch up - or maybe I was just cascading over her personality because I really like how she talks back and steps up and challenges Wyatt. I found that pretty hot not gonna lie.

Chapter 3: Honestly not the craziest or most detailed smut, but I think it works well for this. It was almost like teaching me at the same time of what it’s like having sex with a trans guy - or if even what it could involve. Asking questions, figuring things out, being awkward - but making those moments sexy and alluring really peaked me. I like how this was approached respectfully for both sides, and fun to read

Chapter 2: Go to a queer club with roomies. I really did like how the author tackled Elly’s presumption in a way, assuming Wyatt was gay in a gay bar - always thinking the worst case scenario to not get your hopes up. But in a way also sounding offensive, almost interrogating him on his right to be there. But also really like how such a ray of sunshine he is. Great intro

Chapter 1: A great start and a great voice to the main female character. I really resonate with her thought process; super-overthinky. The writing is simple but enough to give detail to the feelings and descriptors of characters and setting. Love the X-Men reference. Elly is a pansexual icon !
