I love Maria V Snyder and her Poison Study series has been a comfort read for years now. But this feels like a first draft of a very interesting book. I’m going to push through, but I wish the writing felt a little more polished. I don’t know if newer editions have the benefit of more editing, but this feels a little off from what I’m used to from Snyder.
