is 80% done
Well say I’m 80% through, Proverbs, Ecclesiasties and Song of Solomon remain. Job was maybe the best so far, it’s hard to remember the previous books being much different from one another. A lot of rambling and more than anything writing that just doesn’t work well for me. It is ancient at the end of the day. Won’t miss it but kind of glad I have read what I read.

Kings 1 and Esther down now. Kings 1 I thought was awful, terribly written uninteresting story, pretty much Samuel but worse. Esther was okay, readable and followable, written by a genuine author it seems. Only Daniel, Job, Proverbs, ecclesasties and Song of Songs left!

Haven’t updated for a while, just finished 2 Samuel. So far read; Gen,Ex,Jud,Ruth,Sam1,Sam2
It’s getting better, other than the end of exodus there’s been a solid incline in quality (from a non religious reader). Judges-Samuel felt like a solid primitive literary work. It’s still not great but it’s palatable. Although morally the book is still all over the place. I would not take any advice from this book.

Just finished Genesis. Not off to a great start! All personal criticism of the subject matter aside the book is just written badly, the pacing is awful and the genuinely interesting stories are brushed past. (Fall of Eden, Cane and Abel etc…).
