Unfortunately I’m losing my patience for these characters. The first book was great and laid out of all their complexities but this second book…made them insufferable. Pearl is supposed to be worried about getting her daughter back and her internal dialogue about ZG and the life they could’ve had and stuff has just really left me annoyed. Joy is also insufferable. Maybe that’s the point idk
