Wow I felt like I stepped back into the 90s with this book. I’m not surprised Mara Brock Akil is able to bring so much emotion in novel form.
The stigmas around HIV I’ve heard so much about were displayed so realistic in this book. The trauma reckoning that Dionne went through was difficult to read but felt so necessary. This story deserved to be told.
