Sophie comes in and tries to save Josh from Mars Ultor from awakening his powers. Sophie is able to distract them and Mars questions her about their auras and their relationship. They escape from Mars, Dee, and NM. SG gives them new clothes and passports and they head to London on the Chunnel to hopefully see Gilgamesh who will teach them water magic and take a lay line back to SF. Perry and spider fight the morrigan

Josh and Sophie get training in swordsmanship and the element of fire respectively. During the night the valkyries and nidhogg attack, 2 valkyries are beaten in the house while the third is chasing nidhogg along with Josh and has Scatty in its grasp. Josh uses the sword on nidhogg and it start to burn it from the inside. Dee and NM save him from the Valkyrie and promise to awaken him in the catacombs with dark elder

Josh, Sophie, Nicholas, and Scatty find themselves in the basement of sacre-couere, Dee tells Niccilo Machiavelli they have transported to Paris. They fight on the steps of the church, Sophie creates dense fog for escape from him and the French police. Nicholas goes off to contact Scatty’s grandmother to see if there are allies in Paris, NM guesses it’s Saint Germaine. The police find themselves again
