Struggling with this one. I don’t mind that this ‘funny’ book generates nary a titter. Unsympathetic lead characters don’t faze me. However if it does not make me want to read the next sentence and turn the next page, then we have a problem. I put this down to read an Emily Dickinson biog, which had more laughs. I may struggle to restart this tedious tome. However I shall try. Maybe something will click in.
