Book 6 is beautiful and heavily packed with love for Augustus. I will never forget the simile to describe crowd of souls. Charon is my king. Dido is my queen. And Anchises 🤝 Aeneas= 💔💔 virgil can do everything 🔥🔥

I'm five books in and I love rereading it sm. Book 2 is a masterpiece. Dido deserves justice. The gods need to STOP playing with lives. And having read bk3 and 5 now (not read in a level) I can say the Aeneid perfectly encapsulates all 3 core epics (there's journey, fighting, mythology) plus adds its beautiful emotional twist- why need the others (aka Homer jkjk) 🥹 Virgil is incredible.
