What a brilliant premise. Feels fairytale, religiously fantastical and with a dash of mystery too. The author does a great job of making Hephzi and Rebecca’s POV chapters feeling different and that creates a lovely sense of the difference between the two twin sisters. The Father and the quietly suffering Mother are suitably as cold as they are monstrous - again, perfectly fairytale but in a modern, realist way.
