Got this book for my birthday. It’s made me laugh and cringe. The cover is awful. Wish the author had interviewed and dug deeper with Japanese people or had a more positive regard. It would have been nice if he had successfully made a Japanese friend or engage in social or cultural activities. His attitude towards different cultural clashes was mostly confusion, critical, and at times a little admiration. I liked the self deprecation parts
