How is it because im leery about reading anything to do with eastern folklore because of how badly written A Book of Fallen Leaves and Harbour of Hungry Ghosts was written

I’m liking it so far! It’s not cheesy and it seems unique to me. Two of my friends who read it for our book club gave it 5 stars. I’ll post a review when I’m finished!
