I found the first 3 books all pretty mid. I barely got through book 3 since it was pretty much the same thing happening over and over again and no character depth or development. Now I just call them “stupid boy books” given all the hype behind them. He battles, he’s betrayed/caught, he’s rescued, miraculously healed, he battles, he’s betrayed/caught, miraculously healed, he battles…over and over again. 😂
