Very slowly working my way through this one for uni! This is definitely the hardest book I’ve read in French as well as the longest, but now that I’m getting into the swing of things I’m starting to appreciate Zola’s style and social commentary.

I’ve decided to commit to reading 30 pages a day because otherwise I get intimidated by it lol, but I’m looking forward to studying it in a few weeks’ time!
