Wow, a dramatic turn of events just happened! I'm only around 25% through the book! (That usually happens around halfway.)
All I can say without ruining things is, there were lies by the government to Priya about certain deaths, and there had been alien life on Epsilon, the planet the mining colony orbits around. People on the mining colony know the government's tactics and aren't standing for it.
