i almost never dnf a book, no matter how hard to read it gets i always pushed myself to finish it. i really didn't want to dnf this one because i was actually really entertained and was liking it until THAT part. heck i was even tolerating trey's rude ass attitude.

first of all fuck dallin for manipulating rey (yes, it's manipulation in my book) to agreeing in that set up then going and dipping the second something wrong happens. HE LET REYNA BE WALKED ALL OVER ???? he didn't even say sorry or did shit to earn forgiveness even going as far as to say reyna was to blame too.

then trey oh fucking trey, i usually like these type of characters minus the constant rudeness but then i actually tolerated him because i kinda saw the vision. boy was i wrong, damn even a slowburn enemies to lovers book would never make me this infuriated as i do now because of these men. like i get it you have issues but what the hell man, calling her crazy and acting all mad just because you can't handle feelings is sooooo sooo low.

AND PARKER i actually liked parker, in fact, i LOVED parker. he came across as sweet, understanding, but the second shit hits the fan he blames reyna ???? for what? for seeking assurance that's clearly her right to ask because y'all were the one who dragged her into your mess. the absolute betrayal i felt when he told reyna it was her fault GOD. he didn't even stand up to her and just enabled shit to happen.

fuck these men honestly. gaslighting someone for just wanting to have something that should've been given to her willingly in the first place is so not it. she accepted them, even publicly claimed them and what do they do? they can't own up to their shit and all they do is deflect and weaponize sex. they refused to take accountability and i doubt they even know what they did wrong so i'm not even expecting an apology or some shit because clearly they're dead set on making her the villain.

i can't even read the following parts and just skimmed because i'm so infuriated. i tried to get through it but no, they already did a whole 180 in my eyes. i never even review books but heck i'm so frustrated right now i just want to let it all out. two stars is for the entertainment it gave me at the beginning. i'm really disappointed because i've been wanting to read this for a while now and was actually interested in the premise of the story. i also liked this author's writing style and might check out more of her books. i just hope the other ones aren't as frustrating as this one.
