the title kinda felt like false advertising - the men had just as much page time as the girls, if not more. it was weird to end on almost everyone's worst sides. it was a bit frustrating to have the relationships that had spent so much time building up fall apart. i wish we had gotten more science or more history. if nothing else, an interesting facet of homefront life during ww2.
