Sonya…the prostitute? He’s gonna confess everything to her? Pyotr is on to him? Long monologues that confuse Rodya and make him essentially tell on himself. I’m confused where the story is going

It’s such an interesting switch between Rodya being an almost okay character to him being completely insane and making no sense again. We see him defend his sister and the whole exchange there was really good, and then he flipped and told them to not think about him again and he just left..? Except Razumikhin apparently finally realized what Rodya did

Everyone in this book is so odd

Rodya had an ex lover that was quite a pathetic and withdrawn sort of girl and now Sonya shows up and she is the same character type…Rodya suddenly isn’t delirious anymore ? He helped Sonya and her family, Razumihkin is always on the right track but never fully puts the pieces together (a blissful, ignorant man)…I like Dunya

This book is so interesting. We see razkolnikov going slowly mad following the murder meanwhile all these conversations and events go on around him that he can’t quite decipher. And his friend is so interesting, I’m not sure why he cares for him when Razkolnikov isn’t a very likable character
