This book is finally getting more interesting and the plot is picking up. I really enjoy the banter between Kerrigan and Bly. Emerson is annoying as ever and Bly as delusional as ever. But aside from that the book is enjoyable. An issue i do have is that I've found quite a few grammatical errors which is unfortunate, because it does take me out of the story sometimes.

This book has quite a lot of plot holes to be honest. It seems like the author is trying her best to make the plot work but the world building just isn't making much sense.

This book has finally started to pick up after the initial world building and conflict. I do cringe sometimes at the narrative trying to push that Bly is not like other girls, which is corny. Aside from that Kerrigan who I assume is the actual love interest, reminds me of Cardan from The Cruel Prince which isn't a bad thing as Cardan is hilarious and wears extravagant clothes too.

I dont know how i feel about this book...for some odd reason the writing is just so flat. Yet the plot is good. There are obvious plot holes and things that dont make sense in the world building but im assuming that hopefully things will be more fleshed out as we go along since its a duology. I actually kind of like how selfish the main character is. Though I wish she had more of a backbone.
