I felt similarly but ended up liking it a lot. I really want to read all of the RoE because apparently it’s really worth it once you get to the final trilogy. Otherwise I would have jumped ship, harhar, early in this book

Okay that's good to hear coming from you! I did have to Google it to see how long I'll have to wait for payoff but I also really want to consume the entire series so I'll make my way through
