The plot twist was meh, but well-written. Story definitely didn't need to be this long.

The narrator has a nice voice, but I feel like I'm listening to a serial anime episode.

...and here we go with the ancillary virtue-signaling...on Captain Equity's ship, everyone gets equal pay, equal portions and quality of food, and jobs are assigned to "each, according to his (her) abilities." Ugh.

I didn't see any Lesbian & Queer tags when I borrowed this thing on Libby. I'm not expecting any overt smut, but this was published in 2021 so I suppose anything is possible. Getting ready to hold my nose at some point(s)...

Alternate title: Mulan Island. It's pretty good so far, though.
