David went through the garden in search of his mother, who’s voice he heard calling to him. As he went through the hole a German bomb ship fell from the sky and followed him into this new world. There the tree from which he entered closed and he sees the dead German soldier and a decapitated animal with a shirt on it. That’s when he met the Woodsman who he later had no choice but to leave with him. Animals come.

So far David is hearing voices coming from books after his mom’s death. Once Rose came David’s dad’s new wife, David started to have blackouts where once he awoke he could see scenery and a crooked man standing in the corner smiling.
