...I feel as if MUCH was lost in translation. Loved Ronia, but not sure how I feel about Pippi. Certainly colourful, but... I think Findus is a funnier Swede.

This was read to us by the school librarian, Miss Brooks - fearsome woman - in the early years of elementary school. I liked it but I haven't revisited because I suspect that it's one of those books that's better off left in my past.

I can see why it was (and is) beloved. :) I read it too late in life, I fear.
