It's interesting to see the next prince/man's side of this "prince breaks up with his long-time fiancée and said fiancée gets engaged to the next prince" trope instead of the woman's, and to have it happen off-screen--and it's great to see the king ACTUALLY doing something about it immediately, instead of just...letting it happen.
