How is a KHP officer around Norton going westbound on i70 in Russell (to the east) 5 min later? Did the author look at a map of Kansas? Or am I missing something? Also no one in KS calls i70 a highway, we call it the interstate like Eisenhower intended.

Note: you can still get to Dodge from Russell by going south through Hays if that’s your prerogative.. you didn’t miss it by not taking 156. Also, maybe the dispatcher was just in Norton which makes 0 sense when the office is in Hays but okay… also there isn’t a Red Lobster on Hays KS.
