So far, this book is surprising in its depiction of love without artifice, and what it means really see another person. It has made me stop and consider my own relationships. Also, as a daughter who lost her mother as a young teen, the journey of Ghalen and his dad fella almost like walking into the past, with the insight of the present. It has brought me to tears, but I’m eager to to travel the rest of the way.
