Been a big Steve Dangle fan for years now and I found his book at a thrift store awhile back and I was so happy to find it and now I’m finally reading it.
The best part about reading this is I will more than likely know all the references throughout this book.
I love Jeff Marek’s foreword to start the book.
I’m already loving it and I’m only 11 pages in.

The story on how Steve met his wife was just the cutest. I’m glad Steve loved being a seat filler at the 2007 NHL awards but that’s quite pathetic of the NHL to hire people to fill seats. I am not bored at all by Steve’s story.

I’m really glad Steve talked about anxiety, as it is something I suffer with A LOT. The phrase “snitches get hired at the zoo” I found hilarious. The giraffe story was wild, I’d be panicking so bad. Had no clue that Steve & his podcast co host/friend Adam Wylde went to high school together.

All of us have a teacher that means a lot to us, love reading about Steve having that too, very relatable for me. I had a teacher in grade 5 named Ms. McKinnion, she is my favourite teacher I ever had, she left such a big impact on me, I was sad when she left our school, she was a big hockey fan, we connected over that. Steve is just such a good dude and the more I read the more I just appreciate him as a person.

I’ve been watching the Steve Dangle podcast for years and me and the whole audience have gotten to know Steve through the podcast but I had no idea about his sister and everything she had gone through, I can’t even imagine what that was like for him and his family. This goes without saying but Steve is so grateful for his family. Absolutely loving this so far.
