I sort of like that the story doesn’t revolve around this affair, although debatable bc it’s just started, that we see Isabel’s friendship and writing and understand her life through her parents. Her going about life normally & not thinking about the sex w Zev at all feels more a real thing than if she poured over it day and night. Curious to see how far it all goes bc it’s a retrospective POV, interestingly.
