The boxcar children now live in a boxcar and have found a dog out in the woods. They named him watch because he is their watchdog, and they treat him very well. They are thriving out in the wild, and the oldest child, named Henry, now has a job. He helps clean a doctor's house, garden, etc. The doctor's name is Dr. Moore, and he is very nice. He pays Henry a dollar every time he comes over and does work.

The Boxcar Children is a fiction book about four children (named Benny, Violet, Jessie, and Henry) that don't live with their parents because they are dead, and they have no other family to go to. They try at first to have a normal life, but they struggle a lot, so they traveled into the woods and found an abandoned boxcar that they live in. That is how they got their name 'The Boxcar Children'.

The 4 boxcar children (2 are older and the other 2 are much younger). Both of their parents are dead (I think, they are because they haven't been in the book at all and the author hasn't revealed what happened to them yet). The four children only have a little bit of family, and the only person they know is their grandpa, but they don't trust him because he was very "mean" to their mom.
