I just love Rosamunde Pilcher's works!! I can just SEE the Scottish scenes... And I've never been! It makes me ache with longing to go... To see them in person. But, I must admit, I would be looking for those characters in the book to appear! And be sorely disappointed when they didn't!

I struggle with the English in their shipping their children off to boarding school. I didn't understand how that can possibly be considered good... For the child, for the family...
