My grandmother was born in Philadelphia in July 1919, meaning her mother was pregnant with her in the beginning of the 1918 flu epidemic. Her sister died during the epidemic, so mapping the events, locations, and lockdown after the parade which caused such devastation in Philadelphia is an important part of my family history.
