Takeaways from Ch. 7&8- God made us with free will and chosen obedience in mind; He doesn't want robots that are mandated to follow His ways (the devil's aim). We are made with two parts- spirit and body; the devil aims to exploit this fact by making us focus on our life on earth with our Christianity on the backburner (God wants other way around).

Takeaways on Chapters 5&6: The devil is a sneaky thief. The enemy's main perogative is not to just use the big bad things like war and famine but to also sneak into the everyday mundane to slowly twist us into self-serving ponderers.

Takeaway from Ch. 4- When we pray, the devil wants us either distracted or praying lazy prayers from when we were kids (nothing wrong with those when you are a child, but with maturity comes more in-depth prayers). The devil wants us completely reliant upon feelings and emotions rather than faith.

Takeaway from Chapter 2: "Veteran" Christians must ensure we disciple and take care of our newest spiritually reborn. The devil loves to disillusion and dissuade the new Christian from what brought him to Christ in the first place. Know the truth, and it will set you free whenever the devil comes calling!

Takeaway of Ch. 1-
The devil aims to make us think on the here and now of our "real" earthly lives
God desires us to believe (have faith) in the intangible and lift our eyes towards eternity in Heaven
BUT enjoying life on earth isn't inherently bad- only if we put that above God (devil's goal).
