I liked the fact that the narrative had switched for a little bit before returning to the main narrator. The setting of the story is also an interesting factor for readers. The most surprising element of all is the complete lack of romance, as the back cover mentioned that there was romance.

I am very surprised by how the book switched its narrator for a few chapters. Long John Silver, as of right now, sounds like a very wishy-washy person who only seeks his own needs. I look forward to seeing how the rest of the journey will go.
