I love when stories make you care for the background characters, this entire chapter plays on that idea. The idea that every human life matters. The Martian going into that man’s head showing a visualization of bad thoughts and memories with all the different colours was an incredible sequence.

Visuals from the beyond the infinite from 2001 A Space Odyssey, mixed with Lynchian dialogue, and Yorgos Lanthimos groundedness of a plot and story. I’m loving this so far, it’s quite unique.
