it’s giving pretentious bullshit

the writing style-def something that is on my shit list of textbook examples of what NOT to do when writing

so thats the nice thing i have to say about all of this.

i think i was going to read the other series too
before this book one
but i said fuck it
and then two long ass weeks later or so and im only just now getting done with this shit

maybe ill finally watch one of my many saved movies or shows
knock that off the list

getting it all out and forgetting asap

unless this author makes a new book or series with a truly captivating concept / story

the only praise i can kind of give
which isn’t technically true bc it’s mostly a me thing that i didn’t notice until the very last page

the group name thing
my constant passing thoughts were, how much i didnt care for these boring ass book titles
so i didnt pay attention really to the series name being the undertakers

and so didnt make the connection or realize until the end

i’m putting this book on my utter shit list/shelf

and as a whole
this entire series belongs there too

at least with the stranded on the island books by this author, the plot and problems were actually intriguing for me

this series was a waste of time and did not stand out among the many other books of this genre

which is offensive imo

nothing wrong with doing this genre
but at least make it legible.

i still can barely distinguish between the mmcs
very typical and cliche rh mmc roles

elias the best fried and “nerd”
sly the domineering “alpha/leader”
jagger the silent sturdy type with an impairment
dex the big guy covered in scars but a soft center
pete the goofy youngest psycho(kind of)

and the fmc is honestly forgettable
the beautiful special snowflake and magical pussy everyone wants

again

too much sex and a rushed plot
what little there was

she kills ivan
in the middle of the street in front of a crowd of russian witnesses and then is imprisoned

the big bads of this series get not so much
but a lot of build up for lame ass death scenes

very uncreative and unsatisfying

on top of the next to little plot and character development pushed aside for mediocre sex scenes

honestly
that first quarter was prob the better part of this entire book
so far

i’m sick and tired of the sex scenes every other chapter
or every few chapters in a row

this is some shit writing
in a way that is the complete opposite of keeping me engaged and interested in the story
