Somewhat dated but interesting information about the wealthy who ignored the signs of impending war in 1914. A coming-of-age story of a naive, idealistic boy who I expect is gradually going to learn the truth of the world as we go along. Sinclair, as is his want, is exposing the reader, along with the character, to the period's social issues that helped create the unrest and causes of the First World War.
