Interested to hear your thoughts on this one when it's done 🤝🙏

Ooh. I’ve gone back and forth on this one. Sometimes I am reading it and think, “Man, so explicit and constant in the sex and violence… And it just kind of drags on. Three stars and I feel a bit indifferent.” And then other times I think, “Wow, ok, this is brilliant and maybe should win the Booker. Five stars.” I don’t know if it’s one of the best books of the century (as I’ve heard multiple people describe it in their reviews), but it’s a damn good novel and has given me a lot to think about. I am seeing Marlon James on his book tour on Monday, so I’m trying to finish by then. However, seeing him interviewed probably will bias me even more towards praising the book. 🫣
