Since Euclidean Geometry is deeply ingrained, adopting a new form of geometry becomes difficult, and feels slow. Metrics seem equivalent to distances, and they are computed using metric tensors which are, in essence (I understand), transformation matrices on Reinmann geometry over manifolds.

My practical excursions equate metric tensors to weights in learning algorithms. I need to watch some lectures.
