Someone please explain to me why Xio is Nico di Angelo, Tio is Simon Snow, and Aurelio is Baz Pitch.

I figured now’s the only time I’m really going to have the motivation to reread this book since I have no memory of it and I never read the sequel. The audiobook has been fun so far though!
