The Meeting

I was used
To sleep at nights as sweetly as a child⁠—

God, that one was even more depressing. The next one my ereader shows 13 pages - it's gonna be insane

A SOFT BREEZE IN A SULTRY PLACE.

That one is depressing

CHAPTER XI.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS.
"There's iron, they say, in all our blood,
And a grain or two perhaps is good;
But his, he makes me harshly feel,
Has got a little too much of steel."

They’re so blandly indifferent to each other,at least she is. Also,she was very sweet to this much lower rank young woman,bless her.

CHAPTER X.
WROUGHT IRON AND GOLD.
"We are the trees whom shaking fastens more."

The spark between them was bright and short - lived. But it's just the beginning.

CHAPTER IX.
DRESSING FOR TEA.
"Let China's earth, enrich'd with coloured stains,
Pencil'd with gold, and streaked with azure veins,
The grateful flavour of the Indian leaf.
Or Mocho's sunburnt berry glad receive."

Mrs. Thornton seemed a bit cartoonish in her in her anger at Miss Hale for a feel of initial distain of her son as told by the son himself

CHAPTER VIII.
HOME SICKNESS.
"And it's hame, hame, hame,
Hame fain wad I be."

The second chapter of the day. The heartwarming one.

CHAPTER VII.

NEW SCENES AND FACES.

"Mist clogs the sunshine,
Smoky dwarf houses
Have we round on every side."


That meeting was... Interesting. Even though,his interest in her was a bit too apparent for my taste. But it's nice to see such milestone.

CHAPTER VI.
FAREWELL.
"Unwatch'd the garden bough shall sway,
The tender blossom flutter down,
Unloved that beech will gather brown,
The maple burn itself away;

Unloved, the sun-flower, shining fair,
Ray round with flames her disk of seed,
And many a rose-carnation feed
With summer spice the humming air;

A nice, little melancholic chapter

CHAPTER V.
DECISION.
"I ask Thee for a thoughtful love,
Through constant watching wise,
To meet the glad with joyful smiles,
And to wipe the weeping eyes;
And a heart at leisure from itself
To soothe and sympathise."

The first chapter I really felt the break from Austen

CHAPTER IV.
DOUBTS AND DIFFICULTIES.
"Cast me upon some naked shore,
Where I may tracke
Only the print of some sad wracke,
If thou be there, though the seas roare,
I shall no gentler calm implore."


That was such a bittersweet chapter
