The fu….is this poo??! They are dividing the kids up at age 16, into Iron, Bronze, Silver and Gold and let me guess, their mates are chosen from the same group they were divided into… this is some MESSED UP GARBAGE.

First they have 16 year olds get “married” for a day with the express purpose of making babies to increase the population of the city, but now they are exposing the “not perfect/deformed” babies to die in the wild. Ummmm….we aren’t shown enough that the characters are learning more liberal ideas like “women are equal to men”, etc., to understand why one of them is crying over being told it’s ok she ran from the boar because she’s a girl and the other girl being angry enough to want to beat him up over saying that. Our time jumps are too large and the reader is expected to fill in the blanks. Not my job.
