As embarrassing as it is to say, this was the first book I’d read by this author. It’s fantastic and so fascinating. While it is absolutely about the Roy’s relationship with her mother, it’s also a wonderful memoir of her life. I learned much about parts of India what I knew nothing about along with having a tremendous respect for her. Highly recommend.
