I'm wondering if I've missed something, because there are all these explicit and implicit references to Treasure Island. Which, I don't mind, because I like Treasure Island, but is the first book supposed to somewhat mirror it?

I'm going to go look it up now and see if I'm reading too much into it or if I'm right 😂
