This part was pretty uneventful but I really appreciate the how Richman’s characters feel about books and literature, both Harry and Ada talk about how each book has a “soul” and that is what attracts them to book collecting. I do think that possibly Richman wrote the letters between Harry and Ada without thinking of the norms and taboos of the time (1912) because they seem super informal

This section was definitely better than the first two chapters I feel like there's more feeling and plot, I mean obviously the farther into the book the more plot there will be. I wonder why Violet felt connected to Ada and I really hope Harry and Ada end up in a sort of relationship, is Ada the girl on the cover and do Harry's missing docs have something to do with her? same as before I think we are told too much

I definitely like the start of this book, the plot seems interesting. I wish it was a bit more dark academia though like the experience of reading could be a bit more moody. I also think it’s come out with too much information too soon, like end of Chapter Two and we’ve already learned Violet lost her boyfriend and she’s already sensed Harry’s ghost like let’s slow down a bit there should be SOME suspense
