Chapter 2 was a struggle. Kuhlthau was building up the theoretical grounding for her book and it was repetitive and clunky. Some things that were clear to me from context were defined in detail while some things Kuhlthau assumed I had to go find outside information on to fill in gaps.
Chapter 3 was much better now that we've gotten to the actual description of the studies that back up her point.

Didn't give myself much time to read this morning. Chapter 4 and what I've read so far of 5 seek to ground Kuhlthau's model in some proper studies, which she notes that library science doesn't do often enough (or at least, that was the state of play in the early 1990s).

A miserable read so far. Great information, but the worst sort of scientific writing. Full of repetition and poor formatting.
