I don’t think I will be reading this book again for eternity. Stephen King writes in such a way that I can feel all the pain, hunger, strain, dirt literally everything the boys are going through, and it literally makes me just as restless. There’s some really huge allegory going on with the walk, and I’m leaning on a humanitarian point of view to explain it. I hope to see more so that it becomes more clear.

Okay, this is much more graphic than I thought it would be. I thought I knew what I was getting into before starting the read, but there’s much more than gore going on here. Definitely not a good read during meals.
