Since we have failed to do so in recent years the church has largely silenced itself surrendering our place in the public square and allowed progressive ideology to roam freely without resistance. A timid church is gullible and easy to manipulate and the sabotage is self inflicted.

He saves us then sends us into the world as ambassadors for Christ. Agents on Earth of His reign in Heaven. The Great Commission commands us to disciple nations not just individuals and nations have laws, governments, institutions, and cultures all of which must bend the knee to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Our spiritual mission does not erase our civic duty rather our spiritual mission demands it. A Christianity that saves souls but abandons the society those souls inhabit is not faithful stewardship of our mandate. God did not save us out of the world and then leave the world itself to rot.

Good laws promote the good by teaching people to be afraid of violating them. The church’s prophetic witness in the public square functions in the same way acting as the conscience of society. For this reason Christian morality should be reflected in our legislation.

Political issues are moral issues and moral issues are spiritual issues.

Excellent. The whole book is quote worthy. Calls out many modern bad theological takes and their negative effects. Describes the difference between exiles and pilgrims and how the church are to be pilgrims. Equates the prosperity gospel with the poverty gospel and shows that both are terrible distortions of scripture to mislead and scam people out of their money.
