the first book was like a mix of american mcgee's alice and the movie suckerpunch, which i quite enjoyed! but this book... between the over explaining and hatcher (grrr he's a scary man who loves to kill and feel blood on his hands but has a soft spot for alice), i can just tell this is gonna be a long read SIGH

(and yes hatcher was like that in the first book but SOMEHOW i was able to excuse it, this time ehhh)
