An immersive masterpiece and I’m ten pages in. James Baldwin is truly a master of description and world-building. I’m so invested in a person’s past. What could’ve been. The raw emotions of it all. James is a master of painting pictures and storytelling. Putting this book down to do other stuff feels blasphemous.
