Maybe im just really impatient; but i feel like after Bo chooses to stay to do care taking for Mia, the book is moving very slow. I feel like im reading the same 2 sentences over and over; about the water level rising and Bo having other options and not taking them.

Like genuinely the most exciting thing that happened so far was Mia’s optometrist appointment. I might abandon this book tbh
