So far so good but I do feel the external characters lack development which is something I value. I like the slow unveiling of her past although I’d like deeper reasoning as to her response to the trauma she’s experienced and more descriptive discussion of her emotions. I also feel I’d like to know more about Sam but so far it lacks the shock of many books I’ve enjoyed in the past
